Students learn geometry and programming

To: Superintendent Dr. Mark Ficken,
Just in case you didn’t get a chance to see Monday nights paper, we are putting the Foundation Money we received to good use. The students are absolutely loving MakerCamp and last Friday MoreNet came from Columbia to teach them about coding and operating Sphero robotic. I have attached the link to share the article. If you have Bruce Quinlan’s email if you want forward this to him so that he can see
we appreciate what the Foundation does for our school.
Thanks Again, Cindy Spaedy (Hannah Cole Primary School)

DONOR DINNER 2017

To donate click on PayPal and thank you very much for helping our small town EDUCATION FOUNDATION in Boonville, Missouri.

A BIG THANK YOU TO EVERYONE!

Bruce R. Quinlan, President.

Guest Speaker: Commander MARK WESSELMAN

Mark is a 1979 Boonville High School graduate.  He currently spends winters in  Arizona and summers at the Lake of the Ozarks.  After 32 years, he recently retired from the Mesa Police Department.  He was the commander of the Fiesta Division.  After attending college in Warrensburg, Missouri and obtaining a degree in Criminal Justice Administration, Mark joined the Houston Police Department in 1983.  He met his wife, Jeri. In 1989, they decided to leave Houston.  He began working as a police officer in Mesa, Arizona.  He was drawn to law enforcement at an early age.  He credits his education and experiences at Boonville High School with helping him achieve his dream.  He learned helpful lessons through many sports such as baseball, basketball, cross country, and tennis.  Obviously lessons were learned in the classroom as well.  Mrs. Brown helped develop his writing and life skills during his time as Editor-in-Chief of the Pirate Fortnightly.  Mark served his community well and is thankful for the many experiences his career afforded him.  He even met one of his favorite actors.  I’m certain we will enjoy hearing that story and many more as Mark joins us at the Isle of Capri!

Dear Mr. Quinlan,

Unfortunately we haven’t had the pleasure of meeting yet, but by name is Cody Bashore and I am the new director at the Boonslick Technical Education Center.  There was recently a generous donation made to the foundation in the amount of $3,600.00  that was earmarked to help start a robotics team in our building.  Dr. Ficken has asked that I contact you to see if you have received these funds, and if so, to please cut a check to the Boonslick Technical Education Center so that those funds can be utilized for the program.

I appreciate your assistance and thank you for all you do for the foundation and our schools.

Sincerely,

Cody Bashore

Good Morning Bruce-

I wanted to extend an invitation to the Boonville Education Foundation to

attend David Barton's upcoming "Be a Reading and Math Superhero" family

night.  It will take place this Thursday, November 3rd, from 5:30-7:30.

This year, in an effort to increase attendance and better connect our

families to the community, we have partnered with several groups to include

dinner, attendance incentives, parent training, and community group

information tables.  Last year we had just over 200 people attend our event.

We'd love to double that number this year!  If you are free Thursday night,

please consider dropping by to check it out!

Pictures coming soon.
